Today I would like to story story about recycle..
Do you know how many aluminium cans are thrown away every day? What about paper or plastic bags? These are some of the most common items we can easily find in rubbish bins, be it at home, schools or in offices. Instead of throwing them away, we can recycle them.
Today, I would like to talk about some of the benefits of recycling and encourage you guys to start recycling.
Millions of tonnes of paper, aluminium cans, glass bottles, plastic bags and other materials are disposed of every day. I am sure that everybody plays a part in contributing to the colossal amount of rubbish in landfills without realising how harmful it is to our environment. So, it is time for me and you guys to take action and do our part to save the mother earth.
Some of the benefits of recycline are that :
(a) it consumes less energy,
(b) it saves our natural resources, and
(c) it provides ecenemic benefits.
Let me start with the first benefit of recycling.
I. Recycling helps to save energy.
(a) Energy is important for a variety of reasons.
i. Energy powers different types of vehicles.
ii. Energy drives the machinery in numerous industries that fuel our country's economy.
(b) By recycling, we are able to conserve more energy.
i. New products manufactured from recycled products consume less production energy.
ii. New products manufactured from raw materials consume higher amounts of production energy.
Recycling does not only save a considerable amount of energy, but it can also save our natural resources.
II. Recycling helps to save our limited natural resources.
(a) We continuously use natural resources to produce all kinds of materials every day.
i. Trees are cut to make furniture, paper, boxes and many other useful products.
ii. Aluminium is used to make cans, grilles, toys and other things.
(b) We cannot just keeping our natural resources until they run out.
i. We can, however, recycle or reprocess used materials to make new products, and this, therefore,
reduces the consumptionof natural resources.
(c) Recycling can help us :
i. to preserve our natural resources for future generations, and
ii. to maintain the balance of our natural environment.
Now, let me tell you bout' the final benefit of recycling.
III. Recycling provides us with the economic opportunities.
(a) Recycling creates more employment opportunities.
i. Recycling creates up to five times more job opportunities than waste disposal alone.
(b) Recycling provides opportunities to earn some cash.
ii. We can sell certain items such as old newspapers and aluminium cans for cash at recycling centres.
In conclusion, recycling helps us to save a lot of energy. protect our natural resources and generate more economic opportunities.
